Rising university golf star engineers success
Adrian Styles, a rising star in amateur golf from Aberdeen, has made it to the end of a tough year competing at the top of his sport while studying for his finals.
As well as completing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Adrian has been supported by Technip under the RGU SPORT Scholarship Programme for the last two years and is currently Club Champion at Caledonian Golf Club.
He recently secured a job with FMC Technologies and explained: "I chose RGU because of the work placement scheme in place for the MEng programme as I thought it would be advantageous in the job market and this has really worked out.
"It has also been great to further my love of golf and the Scholarship has really benefitted me. I would encourage all young athletes going to RGU to apply for a sports scholarship. It is a good opportunity for the athlete to take their sport to the next level and the University's enthusiasm for the scheme is brilliant."
