Lisa Craig, a Senior Charge Nurse in ARI’s Accident and Emergency, from Aberdeen, reflects on her experience of learning with Robert Gordon University while continuing to work.

"I was attracted to the course as I have been a nurse for over 20 years now and wanted to get back into learning and academic work. As part of my role, I very much appreciate that clinical practice must have an evidence base and felt that getting back into academic work would enable me to become more efficient at researching and reflecting on my practice, essentially to improve the care I deliver to my patients.

“I thoroughly enjoy my job and see myself staying in my current role. I am looking forward to the move to the emergency care centre and hopefully gaining my degree will enable me to develop as a senior charge nurse and continue to provide excellent care to patients.”
