Single dad Darren Gray graduated with an MSc in Construction and Property Management from the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment. He worked as an electrician for 10 years, before working his way up to his current post of Facilities Building Maintenance Manager with Halliburton.

For three years Darren juggled his job with his part-time studies, looking after his two children and coaching a local football team.

In explaining his motivation Darren said, "I decided to study the MSc Construction and Property Management course to not only fulfil a personal goal, but also to compliment my existing facilities management knowledge and training.

"If anyone is thinking of a career in construction, property or project management, or looking to progress their career in the sector, I'd recommend the course. I found it extremely worthwhile and it has allowed me to carry out the duties of my job much more effectively."
