Innovation Vouchers provided funded support for Wick teenagers Mari-Ann Ganson and Ellora James when they needed help in steering their mobile app to market.

They designed Envirocache, an educational toolkit allowing users to upload walking routes with tagged plants/wildlife and facts about them.

On their behalf the girls’ local Chamber of Commerce contacted Interface which manages Innovation Vouchers. Interface identified Dr John Isaacs from the School of Computing Science and Digital Media at Robert Gordon University (RGU) as the best academic partner for the project and approved support to take it forward.

It’s hoped that working together Envirocache and RGU can produce a commercially successful product that contributes to national policies in its application.
