Strategic Accounting with CIMA MSc

1. Overview

The MSc in Strategic Accounting is a 1 year top up course for individuals who have completed all their CIMA examinations.

Applicants who have completed all their CIMA exams are given exemptions and can complete their MSc in one year.

  • Capstone
    The Capstone module is designed to provide you with an opportunity to integrate Masters level knowledge and skills by independently working on an applied academic study or business consultancy project from a degree related discipline. Personal and professional skills such as research, oral presentation and teamwork will be developed thereby enhancing your employment portfolio and setting you apart from other graduates in your field.

3. How you will learn

Study through our Campus Moodle virtual learning environment (VLE) provides full open access to tutors and other class members. Students have the benefit of being part of a group of learners with the invaluable opportunity to participate in active, group-related learning within a supportive online community setting. The interactive online campus provides students with lectures and course materials and these include:

  • Discussion forums - student and tutor led
  • Up-to-date web technology for delivery methods
  • User friendly material

Once you have received an offer for the course, applicants are offered the chance to log into Campus Moodle for more information and to interact with staff and other applicants.

4. Entry Requirements

Applicants are normally CIMA qualified and hold one of the following :

  • 2:2 undergraduate honours degree or its equivalent OR three years of relevant professional work experience. 
  • Students who have successfully completed the BA (Hons) Accounting (with CIMA Advanced Diploma) or BSc (Hons) Accounting are eligible for entry.

English Language

Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no component lower than 5.5, or an equivalent.

Course fees are reviewed periodically and so are subject to change for new applicants. All tuition fees are fixed for the duration of a course at the rate confirmed in your offer letter. You will also be liable to pay a graduation fee of £40 before receiving a University award.
