The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) held a presentation and speed networking event at RGU in October last year. This event was organised with Will Ritchie from the Careers Service.

The event was a success with 109 students taking part in the speed networking with ten employers.

The employers ranged from ‘Big Four’ to small and medium sized professional services, industry and accountancy firms. The aim of these events is to increase awareness of ICAS, the CA qualification and the Chartered Accountancy profession. ICAS authorised employers are invited to attend these events to bring the CA qualification to life and provide an opportunity to promote their CA training vacancies to ICAS accredited students studying accountancy at RGU. The careers service at RGU is an excellent point of contact on campus which allows employers to understand the students’ requirements and availability to attend employability events. Not to mention an opportunity to effectively promote the event to relevant students.
