Printed Textiles (Foundation | EXTRA)
Join us in the Printed Textile workshops of Gray's School of Art for a day's introduction to Printed Textiles.
This course offers the opportunity to create textiles in your own designs with an experienced tutor on hand.
2. What you will study
Students will be encouraged to use books, imagery or their own sketches to inspire the development of printed textiles.
Students will be shown how to expose a design onto a screen, followed by demonstrations on how to use various printing techniques - including pigment inks and metallic foils.
Students will then have the opportunity to use these techniques to create textile pieces in their own design.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Course fee: £75 (includes all printing materials)

All students should be aware that when registering as a student at RGU they are accepting a contract of enrolment. (In order to attend short courses all students must register and accept RGU’s conditions).
A refund is only applicable where there has been illness with a medical certificate to support it.

Students are welcome to bring their own artwork to use as inspiration for print designs, and any specific fabrics they wish to print onto.
All necessary equipment will be provided, including screens, fabrics and printing inks.
Books and imagery will be provided for design inspiration.
A complete health and safety induction will take place on commencement of the course. Please wear old clothes. rubber gloves and disposable aprons will be provided.
