Always wanted to try your hand at ceramics but want a taster first?
Here is an opportunity to spend the whole day working within the Ceramics Workshop at Grays.
2. What you will study
This course will introduce students to simple techniques which will be a jumping off point for any foray into the world of ceramics.
Our experienced tutor will give demonstrations, guide you through the making processes and give you the confidence you need to start making.
All work will be fired and glazed and be available to pick up a week later. Students will have the use of all tools and specialist equipment required at the workshop.
3. Entry Requirements
This course provides an excellent introduction to slab building practices. No formal entry requirements.
All students are required to be at least 16 years of age on the commencement of the course.

Successful enrolment will be confirmed by email.
All students should be aware that when registering as a student at RGU they are accepting a contract of enrolment. (In order to attend short courses all students must register and accept RGU’s conditions).
A refund is only applicable where there has been illness with a medical certificate to support it.

All clay and glaze provided.
Clothing: the class will be held in the ceramics workshops so students will need to wear sturdy footwear. No sandals, flip flops, heels or crocs are allowed.
A complete health and safety induction will take place on commencement of the course.
