We recognise that Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is fundamental in the development of your career.

In addition to being a requirement set by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, we understand that the setting in which you practice is constantly changing, and you are increasingly expected to develop new skills and knowledge that will further enhance the quality of patient care.

We offer a comprehensive portfolio of short course modules to assist health care professionals using a blend of teaching methods, from study days on campus to online distance learning.

    This short course enables you to critically explore the impact of pathophysiological processes on patients in your care and the implications for your practice.

  2. Professional Knowledge for Nurse Led Practice

    This course will prepare practitioners to explore their specialist zone of professional practice.

  3. Public Health Nursing Degree | BSc (Hons) Public Health Nursing

    Equipping you with contemporary knowledge to address patient's vulnerabilities, tackle inequalities and promote optimum health with a focus on young children and vulnerable families.

    The aim of this course is to develop your knowledge and understanding of renal nursing.

    This part-time short course allows you to re-join the Nursing and Midwifery register and return to your field of practice in a safe and confident manner.

  7. Solution Focused Brief Therapy

    This course will enable participants to develop their awareness of Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

  8. Supporting Learning in Practice

    This course will ensure mentors have the knowledge and skills to support learning and assessment in practice.

  9. Supporting Professional Development

    This course provides practice educators with the knowledge and understanding to lead and support teaching, learning and assessment.

  10. Unplanned Care of Acutely Ill/Injured Children and Young People

    This course will develop your core competence in the care of acutely ill or injured children and young people.

  11. Work Based Learning

    This work based learning module offers you a tailor-made professional development opportunity to demonstrate and enhance competence to practice in your specialist environment.

  12. Wound Care

    The aim of this course is to develop the skills of nurses working in hospitals and the community.
