Kongsberg Maritime is a global marine technology company providing innovative and reliable technology solutions for all marine industry sectors including offshore oil & gas, merchant marine, the renewables sector, defence industry and the scientific research community.

The Scholarship

The Kongsberg Maritime Scholarship offers one full time student an award of £1,500 per annum and will be awarded to the successful candidate for the rest of their undergraduate degree programme.

If the successful candidate is studying the MEng Degree programme, they will receive £1,500 per year for 3 years.

If the successful candidate is studying the BEng programme, they will receive £1,500 for 2 years.

Successful scholars have the additional benefit of being eligible to apply for a paid industrial placement at Kongsberg Maritime.

Students enrolled in their second year of the course listed above are eligible to apply.

How To Apply

The selection process begins with students completing an online application form.

Applications will be reviewed by a panel consisting of representatives from the University, who will then short list a group of suitable candidates.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview at Kongsberg Maritime and the award winner will be selected from amongst this group of students. Renewal of the award after each year is dependent on continued good academic performance.
