Computing Placements: For students

The aim of the industrial placement is to provide students with the opportunity to consolidate and broaden the knowledge they have gained in their studies. The working environment allows students to apply their academic knowledge and skills to a real world situation.

Where are we?

The Placement Office for the Faculty of Design and Technology is located in the Clarke building in room C309. It organises relevant opportunities for students who must undertake a placement as part of the academic requirements of their course.

Students can drop into the Placement Office on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday between 12 and 1 without an appointment. If you are unable to drop in during those times and want to arrange an appointment, contact Frances Hunter on f.a hunter@rgu.ac.uk.

Undergraduate placement opportunities

The following course offers an optional one year placement during year 3. If you choose to undertake this placement, the total course duration will be five years.

For the following courses, there is an optional 16 week placement during the summer between years 2 and 3.
