You will be able to apply directly to the specialism of your choice. When enrolled on your chosen course there will be an opportunity for you to customise your experience through elective modules.

  1. BA Fashion Design Course | BA (Hons) Fashion and Textile Design

    Textiles and Surface Design BA (Hons)

    This course will equip you with a wide range of creative skills and specialist knowledge skills to support your creative potential as a fashion or textile designer.

  2. Commercial Photography Degree | BA Commercial Photography

    This one year course is designed to improve your photographic skills in a professional and student-driven environment.

  3. Contemporary Art Practice BA (Hons)

    This course enables a variety of approaches to art practice, reflecting the broad resources and range of media that many of today's artists now call upon.

  4. Painting BA (Hons)

    A unique specialised course in Scotland offering an opportunity to focus your study on technical and contextual aspects of traditional and contemporary painting.

  5. Three Dimensional Design BA (Hons)

    Three Dimensional Design (Ceramics, Glass and Jewellery) BA (Hons)

    The Three Dimensional Design course gives you the opportunity to explore the disciplines of Ceramics and Glass, Jewellery and Product Design.

  6. Visual Communication Course | BA (Hons) Communication Design

    This course encourages an extensive understanding of Communication Design leading towards a focussed study in your chosen specialism of Graphics, Illustration or Photography

Gray's School of Art interviews

Interviews for all art courses are held at our Garthdee Campus.

All invitations to interview are sent by email. You should receive confirmation of where it is to be held, the date and time.

If you've applied for more than one course at Gray's School of Art, we will normally be able to assess your work for all applications during this interview and you should not have to attend more than once.

Please remember to bring a portfolio of artwork and 2 passport size photographs of yourself with your name and UCAS Personal ID written on the reverse.

Portfolio Guidelines

All applicants attending interview must bring a portfolio of artwork to be assessed. 

Travel Information

Interviews are held at our Garthdee Campus, either at Gray's School of Art or Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and the Built Environment. Your confirmation email will advise in which building your interview is being held.

    A Robert Gordon University student has joined forces with trustees at Stonehaven Town Hall Trust to design a new identity for the Hall which acts as a hub for local events and is home to Mearns FM.
