Art & Design: Research Degrees
Gray's School of Art has an active and vibrant research community. If you undertake a research degree with us, you will work alongside, and be supported by, experienced researchers and academics.
This workshop for current RGU Research Students is delivered by Professor Gordon McConnell and gives students a good grounding in innovation-related topics such as creativity, ideation, entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship, technology commercialisation as well as key 21st century skills such as leadership and team development.
The MRes at Gray's School of Art addresses artists and designers who wish to open up their practices to new experiences, critical insights and theoretical understandings. This programme provides preliminary training for doctoral level research.
Gray's research is successfully positioning 'art' as a research paradigm that has a distinctive contribution to make in relation to the more established paradigms of research in science and technology and the social sciences.
Our Design & Technology Research develops novel technologies highly relevant to industry and generates creative spaces for new forms of practice in Engineering, Environmental Science, Computing, Architecture & Built Environment and Art & Design.
