Email for Life offers you the following:

  • A free University email account with 20Gb capacity
  • An exclusive and prestigious email address that will never change (e.g. j.smith@rgu.ac.uk)
  • No junk mail
  • A secure connection working to strict University data protection policies
  • A dedicated IT support team on hand when you need them
  • An automatic transfer from your student account to your life-long email account

Graduated before 2010

Getting Email for Life

Getting set-up with Email for Life is easy. If you graduated before 2010 and would like to receive your unique lifelong University email address, please complete and submit the simple online request form.

What next?

The Alumni Office deal with Email for Life requests on a weekly basis. If you request your account before midday on a Friday then you can expect to receive your login details the following week.

Accessing Email for Life

  • Go to the Alumni Login page
  • Select 'Mailbox'
  • Enter your ID
  • Enter your password
  • Select 'Sign In'
  • Alumni Login Page

Changing your password

  • Follow the above steps until you get to selecting Mailbox
  • Select Change Email Password
  • Enter your domain (@rgu.ac.uk)
  • For account enter everything that comes before @rgu.ac.uk (this may be your former Student ID number)
  • Enter the password assigned to your account followed by your new password
  • Select Reset

Graduated after 2010

Getting set-up with Email for Life

If you graduated after 2010, or are graduating this year, then the best thing about Email for Life is that you are already registered. Your student email account will be automatically transferred to a life-long account after graduation, and your email address and login details will remain the same.

Accessing Email for Life

  • Go to www.rgu.ac.uk/intranet
  • Select the Web Outlook link
  • Select Alumni
  • Select Valid ID
  • Select New Mailbox
  • Select Mailbox
  • Enter your username and password as they were before you graduated

 

Changing your password

  • Follow the above steps until you get to selecting Mailbox
  • Select Change Email Password
  • Enter your domain (@rgu.ac.uk)
  • For account enter your Student ID number
  • Enter your old password followed by your new password
  • Select Reset
