Share Giving

Donations of shares and securities will allow you to claim tax relief on the full market value of your gift, as well as escaping any capital gains tax which would have arisen. Please contact us if you would like to discuss donating shares or securities

Gifts in Will

As the Robert Gordon University Foundation is a registered charity a gift in your will is tax exempt and in most cases will mean that any tax paid on an estate will be reduced. Whilst all discussions concerning your will should be with between you and your solicitor we would be delighted to hear from you if you are interested in donating to the University through your will.

Giving from the USA

Alumni and friends based in the USA who would like to make a donation to support RGU are directed to do so through the British Schools and Universities Foundation Inc. This will ensure that the donor qualifies for the appropriate US tax deductions on their gift.
