Biography
Shona is Vice-Principal and Pro Vice-Chancellor at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen (ranked the top modern University in the UK by the Times Good University Guide 2009). She has held this post since December 2006.
Her portfolio includes student experience and external relations.
Shona graduated with an MA in Geography from Aberdeen University in 1987. She moved to London to join a firm of private sector economic development consultants, Conran Roche. During this time she completed a part-time MSc at London School of Economics. In 1991 she moved back to Scotland on a secondment to Scottish Enterprise. She worked there in a variety of roles both nationally and in Renfrewshire, Dunbartonshire and latterly as Chief Executive of Scottish Enterprise Tayside from 2002 to 2006.
Outside of work Shona enjoys travelling, hillwalking and African drumming.
