Biography

Originally from Helmsdale on the east coast of Sutherland, Christine is a graduate (MA) of University of Aberdeen. Following graduation, she completed a PGCE qualification in Secondary Teaching (History / Modern Studies) at the former Northern College of Education, now University of Aberdeen.

Christine joined RGU in 1994 as Senior Careers Adviser and head of the University Careers Service following several years of employment with the Education Department of Grampian Regional Council, where she worked as a Careers Adviser and latterly Senior Careers Adviser in a wide range of secondary schools, mainstream and private sector, throughout Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire. In 2001, she was appointed to the role of Manager of Student Services Manager. In 2005 Christine was appointed a fellow of the University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia to undertake research into graduate employability.

Christine is married with a son who is a university student currently on a placement year in the USA. She enjoys beach walking with her Labrador dog and the occasional game of golf and tennis.
