The Scottish Centre for Evidence-based Multi-professional Practice is a Joanna Briggs Institute Centre of Excellence.

Health ProfessionalThe Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) is the international not-for-profit research and development centre within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Adelaide, South Australia.  The institute collaborates with over 70 entities worldwide to promote and support the synthesis, transfer and utilisation of evidence to assist in the improvement of healthcare outcomes globally.

At the Scottish Centre, our activities include:

  • Delivering the JBI comprehensive systematic review training programme (CSRTP)

  • Conducting systematic reviews to inform evidence-based healthcare.  The Scottish Centre incorporates staff from the fields of nursing, midwifery, the allied health professions, pharmacy, and health promotion who have expertise in a range of review methodologies including effectiveness, qualitative, scoping, and umbrella reviews.
  • Working with clinicians and service users to identify topics for systematic reviews and to promote implementation of findings into practice.
