Oil and Gas Centre
The Oil & Gas Centre is located in RGU's stunning new Sir Ian Wood Building with state of the art facilities and is home to our fantastic DS-6000 drilling simulator, a joint venture between RGU and our partner the Aberdeen-based international Drilling Contractor KCA Deutag.
Our courses are designed for those wishing to convert to the oil and gas industry or to specialise in specific vocational areas to improve their career prospects. The number of spaces on our courses is limited, so prospective students are advised to make early provision. All of our courses are accredited by the Energy Institute and approved by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).
The Oil & Gas Centre is directed and staffed by seasoned industry professionals and academics, and maintains extensive close contacts with industry to make sure you have the best opportunity for a successful career in oil and gas engineering. In addition to training individual Engineers to the highest standards, we also partner directly with many of the biggest operators and service companies to up-skill their existing Engineering resource.
