CUSP staff work in many, often difficult, locations focussing on the interface and interactions between people and technology in the context of social, environmental, political, and economic sustainability. We access funding support from UK and overseas governments and international development agencies, NGO’s, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) budgets of multi-national companies, as well as private companies and individuals.

Working with Industry

Our work with industry includes consultancy work for developers to identify sustainable options for housing and working with SMEs on sustainable packaging and distribution.

Working with Communities and Policy Makers

We have worked with local authorities and communities in the Channel Islands, Aberdeenshire, and island communities in Scotland to investigate renewable and sustainable energy resources.

We are excited by a new project in collaboration with 6 other institutions in Scotland, funded by SFC to examine how the use of on-line gaming can change behaviour to encompass a more sustainable lifestyle.
