It’s important to strike that work/life balance and we’ve increased our leave for all staff in the last few years. Holidays start from 38 days per annum (including statutory holidays) rising to 43 days for some roles (including statutory holidays).

We operate a number of schemes where you can make big savings on new bikes for the purpose of travelling to work or purchase discounted bus tickets.
Lifestyle and Wellbeing
We’ve invested more than £10 million in our onsite, state of the art sports facility for staff, students and the local community. The facility features a 25m swimming pool, two gyms, climbing wall and bouldering room, café bar, three exercise studios and a vast sports hall. Supporting Working Parents
Our on site nursery is an outstanding new purpose built facility run by Bright Horizons, an internationally recognised childcare provider. Your child will benefit from the highest quality care from 3 months to 5 years of age, and you can enjoy the convenience of a single journey to work and nursery. Staff and students receive preferential access to the Nursery which is open Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6pm. In addition, our sports centre, RGU Sport is currently host to Kings Camps, one of the largest providers of holiday childcare in the UK.
We understand that childcare is a significant outlay for most working parents. That’s why we have provided a childcare voucher scheme since 2005. Employees who meet certain basic conditions can exchange part of their gross salary for a childcare voucher. The deduction (subject to a maximum weekly limit) is tax and national insurance free, thereby reducing your childcare costs.
Maternity, Paternity, Adoption and Shared Parental Pay
As you welcome new members into the family, we want to continue to support our employees. If you meet the qualifying conditions, we will provide enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental pay – over and above the statutory minimum. This means topping up SMP to full pay for the first 13 weeks of maternity/adoption pay and topping up SMP to half pay for the next 13 weeks, followed by statutory pay for the final 13 weeks. We also top up SShPP to full pay for the first 11 weeks of shared parental leave and to half pay for the next 13 weeks. SPP is topped up to full pay for the first week of paternity leave, and to half pay for the second week.
