Aberdeen Business School offer Merit scholarships to postgraduate students on a wide range of courses.

Scholarship Amounts

There are three levels of scholarship available between £500 and £1500. The scholarships will be applied to the balance of your tuition after any deposits have been paid.

Eligibility

Scholarships are available on the majority of full time and online postgraduate degrees with fees over £5000 (excluding MBA which has its own scheme). Merit Scholarships apply to both self-funded and sponsored students and you will be notified of your award by admissions. Where the sponsor has a separate discounting arrangement with the University, the greater discount value will be awarded.

How To Apply

The vast majority of scholarships are awarded automatically and no formal application required. Formal applications for Merit scholarships are still required for MBA programmes.

Vice Principals Scholarship

The Vice Principal's Scholarship is awarded to all students with a degree equivalent to a UK 2:1 degree or above. Students who qualify for this scholarship will receive a £1500 discount from their final course fees (broken into £500 each academic year for part time students).

Deans Scholarship

The Dean's Scholarship is awarded to all students with a degree equivalent to a UK 2:2 degree or above. Students who qualify for this scholarship will receive a £1000 discount from their final course fees (part time students will receive £500 off the first two years of academic study).

School Discretionary Scholarship

A £500 discretionary scholarship may be awarded to exceptional students. Significant work experience can be considered eligible for this scholarship.

Alumni Discount

Alumni of Robert Gordon University will receive a 20% loyalty discount on course fees.

When applying for your course, the application form will ask if you completed a qualification at the University. Once we have checked and confirmed your qualification is eligible for discount, we will then automatically reduce your fees by the appropriate amount.  

The 20% discount applies to both home and overseas alumni of Robert Gordon University who are commencing study, on campus or online, from April 2016 onwards. It can only be applied to tuition fees and cannot be used to cover any other programme-related expenses (e.g. residential costs, materials or membership fees). The discount rate applies to an individual whether they are sponsored or self-funded.  However, it cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer (for example corporate schemes/preferential rates).  The discount also cannot be received as a cash refund against the full cost of a course.
