Equality impact assessment template and guidance for policy owners

The university’s Equality Impact Assessment template has been updated.  Some guidance has been added on how individuals should impact assess policies providing some basic facts and figures to highlight the type of evidence that should be considered as part of the process of impact assessment.

Updated bullying and/or harassment policy is available

The updated policy covers both staff and students and identifies clearly the types of behaviours which constitute bullying and harassment overall and in relation to each of the equality protected characteristics.  The policy also identifies sources of help and support for staff and students and outlines the process for reporting any breaches of the policy.

  1. Aberdeen Women's Alliance (AWA)

    The consultative forum for women who live or work in the city, established to ensure two way dialogue between the Council and the women in the city. Women – individuals and members of women's and community groups are invited to become members. AWA also welcome men who support the principles of the Aberdeen Women's Alliance

  2. Equality and Human Rights Commission

    One of EHRC’s roles is to provide advice and guidance on rights, responsibilities and good practice, based on equality law and human rights.

  3. Equality Challenge Unit (ECU)

    Works to further and support equality and diversity for staff and students in higher education across all four nations of the UK, and in further education in Scotland.   4. Grampian Racial Equality Council

    An autonomous voluntary organisation which brings together representatives from the statutory authorities (including Robert Gordon University), voluntary organisations and individuals who support the aims of GREC.

  • Purple Teardrop Campaign

    Soroptimist International, which aims to end human trafficking and all forms of violence against women and girls, has launched its new Purple Teardrop campaign.
