Duties and Responsibilities
Dr. Abhishek Agarwal is a Senior Lecturer in Strategy and Policy in the Aberdeen Business School. He has contributed to the delivery of various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the Aberdeen Business School since 2004. He is currently coordinating a number of modules, including 'Energy Policy and the Environment' (BSM117), 'Energy Project (BSM673)' and 'Renewable Energy Management (BSM158)'. He has been instrumental in resourcing and leading industry sponsored consultancy projects.
Abhishek graduated with an MBA from the University of Aberdeen and a PhD from the Aberdeen Business School. He has been involved in writing papers for publication in peer reviewed journals, guest editing special issues of reputed journals, chairing sessions in renowned international conferences and reviewing for high ranking journals. Abhishek was honoured with the prestigious "Hind Rattan" award for Non-Resident Indians in 2014 at the Eve of Republic Day in Ashoka Hotel in New Delhi. He also received the I Love My Lecturer - Recognition with Distinction Award for excellent teaching and support provided to students in 2015.
My research interests are focused on 1) management, strategy, planning and policy processes and trends shaping the businesses environment and more specifically the energy sector, and 2) the integration of sustainability into the core strategies of businesses for the sustainable future of industry.
